You are invited to create your own personal Image Gallery! Members can view your gallery and make comments on your images, but only you can add images to your gallery. The galleries are intended as a way to showcase your work, to create a portfolio of images you consider noteworthy. We have even added a special feature for you to quickly see comments made in your gallery! To learn more about this see this Announcement.
FYI: The Latest Gallery Posts button on the main menu will display the most recent additions to member's Galleries. If you are unfamiliar with it, give it a try right now; you will be glad you did! In addition to being able to easily see the latest gallery posts, you can LIKE posts from here (that can't be done from within a gallery, but you can add comments from within a gallery)
How to create your own personal Gallery
1. On the Home page, scroll down to the Images and Creative Techniques category, then click into the Individual Member Galleries board.
2. Click the Create Gallery button (upper-right side of the header). A Gallery Title will be volunteered, but you are welcome to change it at this time.
3. In the dialog you must enter a link to your image in the Image URL field for the first image you wish to share in your gallery (for which see the Notes below)
4. The Image Title field is optional, but much appreciated!
5. Click the Add Image button (lower-right) and your gallery is created!
Notes
- When sharing an image you must first upload it to an image-hosting site. We have FAQS for how to use several image-hosting sites.
- Only one image per post is supported in the gallery, but of course you can post as many images as you like.
- Your image URL must begin with "http://" or "https://" and end with either "jpeg", "jpg", "png" or "gif"
Special Note
You can use the Add image to post via imgbb.com button to upload your image to the gallery, but there is an extra step that you must do! If you wish to use imgbb.com to upload an image to your gallery please read this updated post before creating your gallery.
