Loved last week's challenge image and everyone's take on it! alexr has often reminded me about the creativity of our members and the way they rise to the challenge. With that in mind I am going ahead and posting this image which for some unknown reason has grabbed my attention. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Thanks for getting this off to a great start, Frank. When selecting this image I had no doubt that you would make it work! You have created a beautiful pattern. I can also see it being used as a background image.

This is quite a challenge. Thank you Helen. I thought I would have a look at the filters to see what I could come up with First I duplicated the original image and flipped it and joined the two together. Then I went to Filters and applied the Wave Filter with the Sine Type checked. Settings for the Sine Type For my second attempt I went back to the Filters and this time tried the Wave Filter with the Triangle Type chosen. Settings for the Triangle Type

This is quite a challenge I agree but look at what you've done with this! Great sense of movement. Thanks for providing your screenshots. I'm glad I "listened" to Alex's voice in my head.

- Created the effect with Filter Forge (Heptaflower). - Applied the Glowing Edges filter (Linear Dodge blending mode, 100% Opacity). - Applied the Texture filter (Patchwork).

That's beautiful, Sepiana. I never did get Filter Forge......but your submission is certainly a great endorsement of this software.

Seemed like a good subject for the Droste effect (using Photospiralysis)

That created a very interesting pattern, Tony. I like the fan-like shapes it created.

This reminds me of a pile of pencil shavings. Nice effect.

Those are amazing effects. I think I'm drawn to these designs because the original photo has my favorite color scheme and thus makes the most wonderful designs.

For this one, I used the stained glass feature in Studio 2. I then enhanced the colors. Close your eyes, cats4jan . I don't want to horrify you.

I get cold just looking at this, Karen! I'm assuming they're in one of those ice rooms? LOVE it!
