I didn't expect to have a picture for Today's Picture. However, when I was leaving a parking lot today I saw this sticker on a car window and took a quick picture. Rather than post it in Today's Picture I am starting a new thread. The idea is to share something "good" that you may happen to notice. With all the negativity all over the news, my hope for this thread is that we can share something that exemplifies kindness, helpfulness or just gives us a good feeling. Not sure if this will take off but never hurts to try something new.  |

Good idea Helen! We've quit watching tainted "news." There is a lot of depressing and uncomfortable news and, in any case, so much (so much) is tainted by media with an agenda. There was an outstanding sunset here this evening. So something good definitely happened here. Pleased to share. Only the levels and contrast have been tweaked in this image. No overt color alterations.  |

Not sure if this will take off but never hurts to try something new. Helen, I certainly hope it does take off, although it might be hard to grab a photo of 'something good'...not all of us have sunsets like Clive does in the photo below yours!!! |

That is definitely a "feel good"....awe-inspiring image, Clive. Helen, would you like only photos from "today"? I guess I thought of it as not something you would likely have in your archives but more of being on the lookout for those "random acts of kindness". Examples....someone helping another person do something, holding the door for someone, someone picking up litter, caring for a child or animal, Willie making one of her quilts! Does that make sense? Feel free to add to this "top-of-my-head" list! |
