Our ISP recently switched from Gmail to "Zimbra". Last night I tried to attach a 1 min. video to an email but they have a 20MB limit and my video was about 80 MB in size. I called tech support and she said I would need to use something like Dropbox, Google Doc, etc. What would be the best all around, most secure, easy to use etc. free one to use of those 2 or is there another one that's best for attaching large files?

There are a whack of them. FInd one you like and stay with it. Do a google search for "Free large files" (with out the quotes) and you'll find plenty.

I use Dropbox, but my daughter uses Hightail to send videos. There is a free plan which allows up to 250mb. Bayla

I use Dropbox as well. By removing shared files as they are used, I have never had a need to move to to the paid version.

Thanks everyone. After Googling several reviews, etc. I discovered that I have Microsoft's "Onedrive" on this Win. 8.1 computer, but after jumping though 200 hoops to create a Microsoft acct., after 45 min neither video uploaded to them. Grrrr! So I'm giving up on it for now.

I also use dropbox; it is free, easy, and works across all my devices.

Yes, Dropbox. Probably the recipient is familiar with it too.

Hi JimD. I used to use Dropbox but eventually found it to be a pain because everything you wanted to sync/share had to be in the one "dropbox" folder on your device. I now use Trend Micro's Safesync, as part of their overall Internet Security application, to sync/share files. The beauty of Safesync is that you can set many folders or files on your device to be automatically sync'ed which is much better and more user friendly. You can then use the normal features of setting passwords and/or expiration dates etc to sharing links for distribution.
Just another option (although TM is not free) if you haven't decided to strictly use a free option for sharing.

There is a marvellous online facility called 'WeTransfer' the FREE version of which allows you to send files up to 2GB in size.
The paid for version called 'WeTransferPlus' allows you to send files up to 10GB I believe.
I've used the FREE version myself and it's really easy to use. If you Google it there are plenty of videos showing you how to use it. I hope this helps.

Thanks everyone. Well, after reading up on Microsoft's "One Drive" in my "Win. 8.1 For Dummies" book, I decided it was way too intrusive (plus the fact that after an hour, my video still had not uploaded to Onedrive ) so I unsubscribed from it. Then I found out that it takes 60, count 'em, 60 days until they completely delete you acct. Apparently they hope you will change your mind during that time. Next, I d/l Dropbox, and within a short time my videos had uploaded and I had sent them via email.

I'll chime in as a somewhat dissenting voice. I do use Dropbox, but I also use OneDrive and find it works very well. It also gives me much more storage than Dropbox for free.
