Not impossible, but it takes some stitching. This series was 6 images shot in portrait orientation at 186mm focal length with the 70-200 zoom on my Canon 60D. I developed the raw images and stitched them in Lightroom 6.1.
The images were of Heart Mountain north of Cody, Wyoming. I like the idea that it's almost the stereotypical western landscape, perfect setting for a scene in a western film.
