Hi Charles,
1. Click on the Edit button. 2. Click on the BBCode button. 3. Delete the URL strings for the images. 4. Save.

There are a couple more things that will help a lot when replying to posts.
Go to your User preferences and select to always automatically go to BBCode.
Another is to hilite/select only the portion of text you wish to quote; and, for just a second or so, a little box will appear, "Quick Quote"; click that and then scroll to the bottom of the page where it will already be waiting there in the Quick Reply box.
Hope that helps.

IF I knew how to find my user preferences
Preferences are not at all easy to find on this board; I usually just stumble around until I find them (which I wasn't able to do just now).
Once you change a setting in preferences, such as to always use BBCode, it will stay that way until you change it again.

Click Profile on the main menu, the the Edit Profile button. From there the most useful tabs are Settings and Notifications.

BuckSkin, Yes that does sound like it could be helpful Charles, not being very techie I've found what Buckskin advised to be the easiest way to accomplish your goal. I think Tpgettys/Tom first told be about using this "quick quote" method. You probably already know this, but to highlight the text you want to quote just aim your cursor pointer to the left of the first word of the sentence/s you want to start your quote with, then left click your mouse and keep holding it down while you drag the cursor to the right until all of the words you wish to quote are highlighted in blue. Then take your finger off the mouse and you should (briefly) see a prompt saying "quick quote" Left click on that prompt which sends that quote box to the bottom of the entire thread where you can then type your response into the Quick Reply box.
