I have a new high end computer which I got to handle the new AI software (Windows11). I upgraded to Elements2023 and downloaded it to my new computer. Both the organizer and the editor load superfast; however, when I go to use Editor, it takes almost a minute before it allows me to do anything (i.e. File, Open). I went to the Adobe Community and think I have the answer to what is happening. One suggestion was to turn off anything to do with facial recognition, but I had already done that. The second suggestion related to me loading a generic printer and setting it as the default printer - this meant my wireless printer would no longer be the default printer. This fix worked and I am assuming Adobe was confused about the default wireless printer.
While this fix is great, it would be much better to let my wireless printer be the default, because being a senior, I might forget it isn't the default and wonder why I can't print anything (ahahaha). Therefore, I have asked the Adobe community if there is a way to let Adobe know where the printer is (...if that is even really the problem).
I'll let you know if there is an answer to that, unless of course, some technically expert person in our community may have the answer already?
Pat
p.s. It was touch and go whether I was going to be able to leave my son's house in Edmonton, as he was eyeballing my superfast gaming computer, which was apparently better than his. I solved that problem by not opening the box the computer was in until I was at my new home. Drove him absolutely nuts ...(but that's what moms are for....)

Good luck Pat! Child abuse, eh? Enjoy your new computer and software. Hope you get the bugs worked out. Clive

The problem has now been reported to Adobe, so hopefully they can fix it.
