Your sign fits the rustic look of the shack, Tony. Assuming the neural filter is responsible for the change in color/tones? I haven't updated to the newest versions of PS so my neural filters are limited.

It was actually one of the original neural filters - style transfer - but I dialed down the effect strength a lot and quite liked the result. Tony

Actually laughed out loud when I saw this kdcintx . Marvellous. I can imagine it as a scene from a film. For some reason Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz comes to mind!
Billie Jean, we had the same idea. YES! Wizard of Oz was my inspiration.

It was actually one of the original neural filters - style transfer Just took a quick look. I do have it but had never downloaded it till now. Remember thinking it didn't look like anything I'd ever use. Meanwhile, I have Stylize an extension for PS that I do use and now I see they are a bit similar. Did this with Stylize.

I applied the GMIC Vector Painting effect. Applied a black mask an used various brushes to brush the image back in. Frame is one of Jodi’s.

Your black mask technique creates such a pleasing edge to the painting, Lillias. One of my favorite masking techniques.

Ohhhh....I'll take the river tour, Jim! What a unique edit. Thanks, Helen. It's a no frills tour though. He only gives each paying tourist one bottle of generic water for the entire tour and has sort of rickety wooden barrels that he brings out from his shack for customers to sit on (no cushions even). But it is truly worth it for the hour-long trip, everything considered. Plus, his optional two hour tour is only an extra $30.00 if one's backside can endure two hours on those barrels. I opted for the one hour stint and it was fantastic! **You have to click once or even twice on the image to be able to see the crusty captain's face a bit better.

This was a great image to work with. I thought the rocks on the mountain could use a bit of a swirl, so I used Topaz Studios > Impressions > Swirly Lines. Did a bit of masking then converted to B/W with an adjustment layer. I wanted it more dark and stormy, so I took it into Nik Silver Efex Pro and applied Full Contrast and Structure, and tweaked a bit.
