Close cropped for a different look. Applied a levels adjustment. Then took into Topaz Studio and applied Enchanted Day Sky from the Modern Impression section. Made my own frame.

I like the crop and framing you chose for your painting, Lillias.

Whew...made it before the deadline!
When I looked at the original image, the rocks in the foreground struck me as the main subject in the image, so I cropped appropriately in Camera Raw (ACR) before any edits. Then, I did my usual edits: Adjusted white balance (clicked Auto, then lowered the yellow); clicked 'Auto'; Changed Exposure to 0 because I don't like that to be global; kept Contrast at 0; lowered Highlights almost to the lowest number; opened the shadows by moving the slider to the right; didn't adjust Whites and Blacks. Then, in the next section, I added Texture, raised the Clarity and added a bit of Dehaze but not much...this gets really murky if overdone. Took it into Photoshop and used Topaz Photo AI to reduce the noise and add a bit of sharpening. Returned to Photoshop. Duplicated the original layer, moved it to the top, and opened Nik Color Efex Pro. I used "Super Punch" preset, and tweaked the sliders a bit. Returned to photoshop. I now had 3 layers: I changed the blend mode of the Nik layer to Multiply and lowered the opacity to 40%.
Flattened the layers, created a frame and...Done!

Rich in color, I like your edit and crop, Vicki. The black frame really works well. Challenge ends on Thursday, Dec. 8th.

Used my color edit, added a textured layer and mask, converted to B/W and framed.

Beautiful edit, Helen! I love the edge effects and the softness of the B/W.

I'm amazed & impressed at the diversity of these versions. My submission was one of a multiple vertical capture intended for a panorama. Your different treatments opened my mind quite a bit. I enjoyed viewing all these submissions, my choices are these three, but not in any particular order.
Clive's pano crop was the closest to my original vision.
Helen's B&W with texture certainly was quite different from my vision, but very nice.
Tony's square crop brought the viewer closer to the rocks on the shoreline.
Thanks to all who participated!
