Earlier this year I created this page with help from members on the Member to Member Advice Bd. This thread will be a continuation of that page.....

I remember that page Helen. I loved the look of the old house and the tree at the front door. It’s a shame that it had to be pulled down. It will be interesting to follow as you update us on what is taking its place. You really do have a wonderful view from your eyrie in the sky...lol.

Well I imagine the new house will be huge and high to avoid flooding, Lillias. I will try to create a few pages to follow its progression. I probably should have created a page for the demolition.....but just found this post in the Today's Picture thread. It was sad to see it chomped away.

Interesting foundations, hope it's going to be enough to avoid any floods. Looking forward to seeing more progress through your simple but elegant pages.

Thanks, Jacki. This house is fairly close to the river. It's hard to tell with the images that are taken from above but my husband said the foundation must be 8-10 ft.

Wow...keep up the photos, Helen. It will be wonderful to see what they turn that space into!

By the looks of it the building work is all coming together quite quickly now. It’s going to be a fair sized house I think. Those builders must be sure footed walking over that open woodwork like that. Great series of photos Helen and all presented in a well composed scrapbook page.

Thanks, Lillias. It's kind of fun to follow their progress. It's amazing how much they get done in a day! I have a new set but will post at a later date.

I love your latest update on the building's progress, and the way you decorated your sign with all the power tools and a hard hat.

Darn....forgot that I had already used this title....oh well! It was really wet when they started out in the morning...I was just amazed to see how much they had accomplished through the day.
