I remember that page Helen. I loved the look of the old house and the tree at the front door. It’s a shame that it had to be pulled down. It will be interesting to follow as you update us on what is taking its place.
You really do have a wonderful view from your eyrie in the sky...lol.

Well I imagine the new house will be huge and high to avoid flooding, Lillias. I will try to create a few pages to follow its progression. I probably should have created a page for the demolition.....but just found this post in the Today's Picture thread. It was sad to see it chomped away. |

Thanks, Jacki. This house is fairly close to the river. It's hard to tell with the images that are taken from above but my husband said the foundation must be 8-10 ft.

By the looks of it the building work is all coming together quite quickly now. It’s going to be a fair sized house I think. Those builders must be sure footed walking over that open woodwork like that. Great series of photos Helen and all presented in a well composed scrapbook page.
