Looks like the builders are forging ahead and it won't be long before the exterior of the house is finished.

Well after it's rather fast moving start......things really slooooooowed down. I took a couple of pictures in April...... And then lost interest......However the family moved in a few days ago. So here's the home that was built on this property: And.......if it looks like those hydrangeas were just plopped on there they were! I couldn't think of how to fill up the space. Still have the PSD file if anyone has some simple recommendations.
Worked on this again today. The homeowners put in hydrangeas around the house....my reason for adding them. Think this looks better......lamppost from Country Cottage kit.

Worked on this again today. The homeowners put in hydrangeas around the house....my reason for adding them. Think this looks better......lamppost from Country Cottage kit. What a difference from the house that originally stood on that site Helen. Your photo of it at the start of this thread gives a flavour of what it must have looked like back in the day when it was nice and new. It looked like it had a lot of history and one could imagine it held many happy memories of those who lived there over the years. This new home also looks nice, obviously more modern and so much bigger. I hope the family who own it will be happy there too. Much as I like hydrangeas I have to say my preference would be for your second page with the addition of the lampost and I love the little poem. It is so true.

Flowers look better in second one. They needed an anchor point. I, however, liked the two sided frame in the first one. With a heavy frame, two sides are enough - but then again, I'm famous for doing this so it really appeals to me.

Thanks, Lillias. Janice, I was reluctant to add the additional framing but it seemed to need something more and I couldn't come up with something. Any ideas?

Move the main components slightly to the right. A little will be enough- you don’t want it centered. There is nothing wrong with white space - so don’t feel you have to balance stuff on both sides
