That brings back memories. A great spot and very photogenic. I took the shorter cruise from the Milford Discovery Centre. Lots of seals, penguins and dolphins I recall.

In 1987 Baldwin Street was declared the steepest street in the world by The Guinness Book of Records. Located in a suburb of Dunedin, South Island NZ. At its steepest the slope has a gradient of 35%, and NO, we didn't have the time (nor inclination) to take a walk...

declared the steepest street in the world No doubt that is steep; however, I have to say, they must have not ever considered at least a dozen in Casey County, Kentucky, plus several in Russell and Adair, that quickly come to my mind.
There are several around here where myself and many others have stalled out and slid backwards with big trailer loads of cattle; that's never fun and usually quite costly.
I have been on a few around here in tri-axle dump-trucks where it wouldn't hurt if you were to run over your little finger with a front wheel.
But I must say, your New Zealand Street is right up there with them.
Thanks for sharing it

People have always said that New Zealand is the best place on earth to live. With scenery like that, I would be inclined to agree.

NZ is very picturesque, amazing coastline and beautiful inland forests, and the people are very friendly, laidback and always up for a good time. Having said that, a lot of them move to Australia 😊

New Zealand is indeed wonderful. I think people moving here only do so for the weather (NZ can be wet, windy and cold) and the work (more opportunities in Oz I think).
Otherwise NZ offers just about everything one needs for a happy life!
