Hi,
I have recently installed Elements 2023.
I have opened Organizer to import edited images from my folders.
It first imported my General catalog from my previous version 2018
When I try to open "Import" to load new images from my foldes , I do not get a dropdown menu to select an option.
Nothing happens.
I wanted to check if my set-up was correct and tried to open File. This would also not provide a drop-down menu.
I checked Edit, View & Help, none of them produced the appropriate menus.
In the organizer itself, none of the following Tabs worked:
Sort by, Create or Share.
The following tabs worked:
Media, People, Places events and Search
I could open an image in Organizer and had access to the grid.
I closed Elements and got a message offering me options "Auto back-up of Catalog Structures" which I opted not to accept.
I rebooted and tried again, same result, I rebooted and opened the editor and accessed the Organizer from the there.
Still no response from the Tabs.
After leaving it for some while, I opened my 2018 Organizer to check if it was a mouse problem.The tabs responded. When I closed 2018 I got a message telling me my free trial would expire in 18 days.
I have a fully paid up version 2018?
I rebooted and accessed 2023 Organizer again.
This time no response from the same Tabs, I clicked on the drop down arrow on Import a few time, but still no drop-down menus.
Suddenly the import window appeared, there had been no drop-down options menu appearing on the screen.
I grabbed the opportunity and imported my images.
Now this morning I have tried to import a new batch, but the Tabs were not working.
I have spent hours trying to sort the problem out.
Nett production for today, nothing!!
Please help, this is so frustrating!!
Is it possible that some of my settings have been corrupted? Any idea what I should be looking for, assuming I can get the File Tab to respond?
