Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. The rules are rather simple.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.

It may be a bit of a stretch, but the Gold eye of this juvenile Cooper's Hawk gives me just enough of the theme. He (she?) was looking for lunch today at my feeders, hoping to grab an unwary finch or junco. Didn't have any success here this time, but I expect to see more of him this winter.

Not very original but I was passing by this morning and took a shot from under the Golden Arches: And for silver here's a freshly polished silver cup from back in the days when silver cups were made from real silver and hallmarked. The photo angle makes it look bigger than it really is (it's only a couple of inches high) and it was awarded to the best cat in show many years ago. Tony

A collection of coins is usually known as "silver" but these one pound coins are both gold and silver. i.ibb.co/LJxZDhN/PC.jpgMatthew

Thanks Matthew dennis9 You were the first to post silver and gold coins. These are the Canadian Toonie and Loonie. Their names have an interesting and fun history. In 1987, the Canadian Mint produce a one-dollar coin and it was embraced by Canadians. Over time the paper dollar bills were eliminated. The coin had a common loon (water bird) on the face. And the coin became the Loonie and that is what it is called by everyone. A fun name. We also used a two-dollar bill at one time. In 1996, the mint created a two-dollar coin and it naturally became a toonie. Literally no one says "one dollar" or "two dollars." We all say "loonie" or "toonie." Much fun. So thanks, Matthew, for posting your British coins. Here are our toonie (left) and loonie (right) coins.

An ornament taken this morning.....and a wreath on my neighbor's door that nicely covers booth Gold and Silver. Helen, perfect for this theme. I like how the second image displays Gold and Silver together.

Throughout the literature his eyes are usually described as "Gold". Beautiful image!

Very clever interpretation of Gold. I like it. This silver cup seems to be in good shape. The "cat" history behind it makes it priceless.
