One of the small lakes (in the nearby city) has so many waterfowl on it, they have been able to maintain a small area of open water...despite last week's record cold.
I went there this afternoon for a while and need to go back when the sun is shining.

Male common goldeneye ... looks suspiciously like it might be wanted for some sinister crime
