Image of the Week is a way of recognizing the work of our members. All images submitted to users Individual Galleries are eligible to be chosen for IOW recognition. Selections are made by our volunteer judges. We always welcome new judges and encourage you to join our team.
What is the time frame?
The week runs from Monday to Sunday. The judge for the week lets the next judge know the last image that was considered so that the new judge begins their round with the next image. That way no image added to a gallery is overlooked.
What are the rules?
All types of photography, scrapbooking, editing and creative approaches are eligible for submission. Posters who use work downloaded from the internet (morguefile for example) must cite their source. You are not permitted to use images that infringe on copyright laws.
There is no time frame as to when the image was taken or created by the photographer. The week you add it to your gallery is the week it becomes eligible.
