Sad to see this magazine and it's website go, but not too surprised - it's another disheartening sign of the times. As a subscriber for many years I will take advantage of their parting "gifts" however.

Good news - the folks at ON1 have come through with an update (ON1 Photo 10.5.1) to their software which will enable it to be used as a plug-in inside the new version of Photoshop CC (2015.5). PC and Mac versions of the ON1 update can be downloaded here.

Adobe provides these links which may be of help in re-installing plug-ins into the new Photoshop CC 2015.5: This first link lists 20 manufacturers of Photoshop plug-ins and their websites for the latest versions. This second link provides generic trouble shooting information on installing plug-ins in Photoshop CC and CS6. I haven't yet had the time to re-install my plug-ins into the new CC version, and thank you both (Sepiana and Helen) for shedding some light on that subject.

For those Elements users who also subscribe to Photoshop CC, a June update (2015.5) is now available. New features include Face Aware Liquify, a Select and Mask workspace, and a Font Matching feature. On the downside, any 3rd party plug-ins installed in earlier versions of Photoshop CC are NOT migrated to this new version.

Registered and looking forward to it. Tim's earlier four free videos about the NIK Collection are very useful and informative.

Thanks Jim. Like you, I was pressed for time this morning and needed to come up with something quickly and easily done in under 10 minutes.

Very well done, Tom. Just the right intensity of outlines combined with subtly muted colours.

If you're new to the Nik Collection of plug-ins (now free), this article on using the 5 best Color Efex Pro filters will be of interest.

I tried logging in with 3 different browsers (Chrome, Firefox & Edge) this morning. All were successful on first attempt with no issues or delays.

So much great variety on display here promoted another go with this addictive technique! This time I returned color to the monochrome "sketch" using a top layer copy of the background layer blended in linear burn mode at a reduced opacity. Click on the thumbnail for the final version.

Thank you Helen for the easy yet very effective tut (never made use of the minimum filter before). I followed the first 7 steps, then added a copy of the background layer on top and the sandstone texture, blending this layer in multiply mode at 60% opacity to those below. Added a black mask to this layer and inserted a blank white layer right below to paint the top layer back in (thanks to BillieJean!) Finally created a stamped layer on the very top in order to add a modified Jodi Fry frame. The photo is one I took of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice last year. Click the image for a larger version.

Thanks for the heads up. Now downloaded and installed, the masking and Perfect Brush enhancements look very promising.

Hi everyone,
A 64-bit version of the Wire Worm plug-in has been released -- Version 6.4. This means you can now use this plug-in in Elements 13 and 14 (64-bit applications).

Great news, Sepiana. I've used Wireworm in the past and have been missing its availibility in Elements 14. Thanks for posting about this significant update.
