For reasons unknown to me I was able to order 2 copies at $35.95 off each from Costco. That is $44 off original price.

Another thought, did you write your tags to the metadata? If so, you could import them all and at least get the correct tags. It won't be neat but it will be a step.

No-No-No. Take your original backup, before everything went to pieces and do a restore. For now, use a different location. If everything is fine, then you have at least a good copy, maybe not the way you want it but viable. If this works, then you can do a restore back to where you want it with the original file structure.

Have you tried doing another restore and making sure everything is pointed correctly? That would save you lots of time and frustration. I am assuming you are using PSE backup and restore, is that correct?

I guess I will try Adaptive again. It bothers me visually with all the pictures scrunched together. Just like there are some websites I don't visit because items aren't presented very orderly(Pinterest is one). Maybe I will get use to it.

Costco now has it online for members only. I am getting my daughters id and password to look up the price. Will let you know.

This Adaptive View seems to becoming popular but I can't figure out why. Is it only me who finds it hard to view pictures with this option turned on. The first time I saw this style was when a friend sent me some pictures via email. I made a comment back that I found it hard to view and he said no one else was complaining. Oh well!! My 2 cents.

The simplest thing is to pick your "production" catalog and delete the others. If you are hesitant to do this, create a folder with a name so you know they are old, extra catalogs and move all of them there. Each one may need to be in a unique sub-folder.
Once you determine your "production" catalog do a PSE backup so you have a backup and a fall back in case things go south.
I suggest as you clean up you do incremental backups on a frequent basis.

Hopefully Michel will pipe in. I think if you change your drive letter back to where you were you will sort yourself out. If I remember correctly(been many years since I had this type of problem) but it isn't just the drive letter but also the serial number that has PSE upset.
