Hi all. Elements XXL 4 from the plugin site can save multi page PDF's and integrates itself into Elements which makes it simple to use. It's not cheap though but in my opinion worth it.

Hi All
I'm working on a little project with someone that I support at work. I have a windows system but work is on Mac. I have downloaded and used a brush ABR in elements 14 on a windows pc. I want to take this file and brush file to work, they have elements 13 on Mac. Can I just use load brush file the same as on PC or do I need a different ABR file for Mac.
Hope this makes sense as I'm not very good on a Mac
Thanks
Shaun

Hi all just in case anyone is interested
I have just purchased PSE 15 and wanted to have a go with the frame creator. I had an old file where I had made a clipping mask template of a apple shape with a hole in the centre for a picture. I loaded this file into the frame creator and saved it from there so it is now saved as a template which you just have to click on to insert a photo. I had a look to see where these custom shapes are stored Windows: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\PhotoshopElements\15.0\Photo Creations\frames •Mac OS: /library/Application Support/Adobe/PhotoshopElements/15.0/Photo Creations/frames
Ill put a link on how to back these up. save custom frames file location
I then wondered if I could install in a previous version so I tried photoshop elements 14 and saved in the relevant location and low and behold I can now access this frame via the graphics button. This meant that it is possible to share these file types with others and in previous versions of elements they can be shared to as well.
I thought scrap bookers might really like this ability
regards
Shaun

At the moment I am unable to take up the Offer as I view here 98% of the time from my mobile phone which is really limited in what it can do, today is the first time in ages that I am on a PC. Should my situation change I will put my name forward. I certainly hope you get some volunteers. I am a silent lurker and only comment when I think I can offer some help. Sepiana nearly always beats me to it, the font of knowledge. Thank you to those who keep this a forum a great place. shaun - have you tried the Tapatalk app for your phone? It is a much better experience than just browsing. Hi Sargenta. Ive not tried it, don't know much about it. Will have a look. Thanks Shaun

Hi Launch elements 13 on the laptop that you want to uninstall. Once it has loaded click on help menu. You should see an option to sign out. Click sign out. Close elements and then uninstall. You should now be able to load elements on new laptop. Hope this helps Shaun

How about using a fresh hold adjustment layer. Use that layer to make a selection of just the trees, press control j with that selection in place which puts trees on own layer. Then lighten them how you wish. I like the look of your tutorial that you followed can you post a link. Hope you can follow my idea, there are others better able to help on here.

Hi haliburton, I don't know then, sorry I couldn't be of more help. Have you tried resetting the tools, don't know the method in Elements 11. In elements 12 there is a little box towards bottom of screen on the right. It has a little arrow with some lines next to it. If you select that there is an option to reset all tools.

I'm using PSE11. I've used Select All around a rectangle, tried the stroke outline in Center and Inside, using a bright red, and with the mode at Normal, and set the stroke as thick as 5 px. But nothing shows up. I deleted my Preferences file and that didn't help. Anyone? Hi Haliburton
Have you tried to do this by going to Edit Tab, then select Stroke (outline) selection. It should bring up an option to select type of stroke, thickness and colour. The downside of this method is that its un-editable. You could make a copy of the layer before applying the selection and then use above method. A short cut to duplicate the layer you want is. First click on the layer you want to place a stroke on and then hit Control J on PC or Command J on a Mac.
Hope this helps
Shaun
I tried this on Elements 12 but I believe it is the same procedure in elements 11

Hi all. This has been an interesting thread to follow and is something that I may use in the future. A thought occurred to me. I wonder if it would be a good idea to move thread to the members tutorials section which would make it easier to find in the future for others who may want to try this.

Hi buckskin, its a file type that is used when a video is encoded to DVD, so you wouldn't see it as a file type listed as it is something that happens during DVD conversion. There are also other files on a DVD disk, one called TS something or other . hope this helps, not easy to explain. A DVD needs other file types etc for menus, audio, subtitles etc

I don't think you can crop just one layer. You could make a selection of the area you want to keep, press control and I to invert selection and then press delete key. You should then have just the selection surrounded by transparent pixels. If you hold down control key on the thumbnail and press enter, it will select just the object. Then press control and J to paste that selection on its own layer. Then delete the original layer. That's all I can think of.
