Hour right elements + has curves. I don't think the histogram works very well though with curves. I may be wrong just something at the back of my head. I haven't got elements 7 so I can't check.

Thank you for posting that.
I installed it yesterday and it seems like it is going to be a real asset.
I have not yet gotten that far along with it, but it says it is capable of communicating back-and-forth with other programs including my Elements 7; I wish I could figure out a way to do the same with Canon DPP as E7 is not capable of supporting the newer Canon RAW files.
Hi buckskin, there is a plugin called metaraw from the plugin site which will let raw files work with elements 7, I can't post link as I'm on mobile.this plugin will work within elements 7 so no need to load a different app. Just search plugin site. Also you could download adobe dng converter for free, use that to change canon raw into adobe dng which elements 7 can read.

Hi Shaun I'm using version 13 of PSE. If you go to the Styles tab and click to get the drop down menu for Bevels and Drop Shadows etc; you will find it down towards the bottom of that drop down menu. Sorry if I've caused confusion… Hi Billiejean, I was looking all through the menus at the top but have found it now with your second post. I like your method, very simple, now just need to remember it and my brain is like a sieve. Thanks again for help and sharing your technique. shaun

Thanks very much for your comments. You said it is really important to start with white text – as stated in the tutorial. But I have come across another way of doing it and your text can start off any colour you like. What you do is – place your text on your page, give it a Bevel, Drop Shadow and then in the Visibility tab you will find two icons – the one on the left when you hover your mouse over it says 'ghosted' and the one on the right says 'show' BUT in between that there is a hidden icon and if you click that it turns your text transparent. It's just another example of doing the same thing so many different ways. Hi BillieJean
I must be missing something as I cant find the visibility tab or options for ghosted or show. Hope you could tell me what i'm missing.
Thanks

Hi All
For those of you who haven't got any topaz labs plugins this might interest you. You can purchase all of their plugins at the moment for $250.00 half the normal price. Click on the purchase whole set listed at $499.00 and then in the coupons section type this
BLACKFRIDAY2015
half price discount should apply, I think it is running until the 30th November. I have just purchased and now have the happy task of seeing what they can do.

Elements couldn't do it with vectors as it does not really support vectors. When you import a vector in you have to rasterise it before you can move on. I think you could achieve something similar with brushes and using a tablet. I'm no artist so way beyond my scope. Others may know more than me.

Shaun....just curious...have you tried Topaz DeNoise or NIK Define......both give good results. Posted on my CC site but no one has responded yet. shaun,
Someone posted a thread in the Digital Photography Review forum asking for feedback on this software. You may want to check it.
DENOISE projects professional Hello Helen i'm planning on buying some stuff from topaz on black Friday as they have had offers on for the last two years and I hope they do this year. I have loved some of the effects that I have seen on here by others using their software. Helen thankyou for posting info else where. Sepiana that was the perfect bit of info to help make my mind up, so I have decided not to get the software. Thank you for finding the link. Simone I really appreciated you taking the time to look at the sites in German and feed back info. I feel by coming here that I have not made a rash decision and appreciate all the help. Shaun

Ok, just read this review about the software in German and it was very positive. I just watched a short youtube video and I understand what you mean about looking too good to be true....but you never know! We'll keep working on this and perhaps Simone can help with the German! Thanks all for looking. I have an offer which expires in 4 days ish for 40 usd or something like that. I will pm anyone else that's interested as the offer was in a generic mail from a company to me. Hi Helen I found one or two reviews some in German. I don't know if it is an established company trying to break into the uk market or if it is any good. I,m reluctant to download from somewhere I have never heard of but at the same time i'm intrigued by their claims. So hence me asking here for info. Thank you for replying and posting in your camera group. The pictures on the website look too good to be true which makes me sceptical as well. Thanks again shaun

Hi All
I have come across this software from Fanzis to denoise photos, they offer other software. I have never heard of them but it sounds pretty good. I got an offer from a news letter via Paragon (another software company). I just wondered if any of you use the software from Franzis especially the denoise software. Any thoughts or views welcome.
I will insert a link for the site link
Thanks

Hi John It's a good capture but I think you may be right that if the limbs on the bottom left were removed it would bring more attention to the waterfall, I do like some of the limbs that are arching over though . I'm no expert, a long way from that. hope that helps Regards
