Hi All
This plugin also works in photoshop elements 14. Just copy the filter forge file from the plugin file in elements 13 to elements 14 plugin file. I don't think filter forge version 4 naturally supports elements 14 yet as it didn't pick it up when I reinstalled.
The file paths below on my windows 8.1 laptop
C:\Program Files\Adobe\adobe photoshop elements 13\Photoshop Elements 13\Plug-Ins Copy the filters folder
C:\Program Files\Adobe\adobe photoshop elements 14\Photoshop Elements 14\Plug-Ins Paste filters folder into the plugins folder listed above
Hope this helps someone

Hi Sepiana
I had a reply from Filter Forge and it now works. I'll paste the solution from my email into here for any others that have a similar problem.
Thanks for your help
Shaun
Email info below
Hi,
Please try the following:
1. Go to the Filter Forge folder in the Plugins folder of your PSE13. 2. Find the Filter Forge.config file. 3. Open the file. 4. In the IndependentUI line, if the value is false, change it manually to true. 5. Save the changes in the file and try running the Filter Forge plugin again -- this might help.
Best regards, Filter Forge Support support@filterforge.com

Hi all I am hoping someone can help. I cant get filter forge pro version 4 to launch from elements 13. It used to work a while ago. So I don't know what has changed. I'm on windows 8.1 . It will work as a stand alone app or from elements 12 and cc2015 but not from 13. I have tried re-installing filter forge but to no avail. I have also tried re-setting my preferences which did not work either. I have sent the bug report it generated to filter forge and hope for a reply, but thought i'd ask all you boffins here as well. There are two boxes which pop up when I try to launch which I'll try to include in this thread. I do have some plugins installed which I don't know if they will be at fault. Any ideas welcome

Have you got elements + plugin he is a member here or another plugin called elements xxl3 from the plugin site. They both offer extensions to elements making it more like full Photoshop. They might have the tools to follow the tutorials that you found. Elements + is only $12.00 . I can't help with elements friendly tutorials.

9.0 was the last official camera raw for elements. However they did seem to release it for elements 13 for a very short time and then withdrew it. Adobe never released it properly for elements 13. Some users have managed to get it working in elements 13, others have tried and failed, the reason is not clear. Unless you have a new camera that needs the update, you should be fine with 9.0. (9.1 not official for elements 13)

Hi marriane. Just a thought, try clearing internet history and deleting cookies. Sometimes that's helped me when the web is playing up. X

I was able to update to 9.1 but I had Photoshop cc so I just copy and pasted from one folder to elements folder, so I don't know if that made a difference. Also you could look at a plugin called metaraw from the plugin site which probably has your camera listed and this works with your existing elements raw converter.

I'm not the best person to answer this but I would try to apply a feather before applying the effect. If your version of elements has the refine edge option I would suggest playing with that before applying the effect. I also recall something about applying a drop shadow to the selection which you can use the settings to help hide the light halo. I'm sure someone on here will recommend a good tutorial. Hope these ideas help or someone jumps in with something better. Shaun

Elements xxl 2 from the plugin site has a feature to open as layers but its a lot heavier in price. I can't post link as on phone.

Hi all. Pete's suggestion would not work for me either, if I hold Alt the layer menu won't appear. Your suggestion works Sepiana. I have a bonus with my system as I have elements xxl and the stamp visable command is visble in layer menu. I normally use the short cut Contl Alt Shift E, but its good to find alternative methods .
