Thank you for allowing us to play with your beautiful image VickiD. It was fun and thanks for choosing my edit as one of your picks. Congratulations too to fotofrank, pete61 and tonyw. To crop or not to crop is always a challenge. Again, as in Scrapping or Digital Art I think it all comes down at the end of the day to what you want to be the focus of your image. I thought all that lovely setting surrounding the gazebo was far too nice to chop away. Just a personal observation. |

I have to point out that I don’t deserve any credit for that Firefly AI generated image. The only contribution of the raw image was to inspire the choice of words used by the AI engine. The way AI is going we do have to be careful to always recognize when it’s AI is doing the creating.

Thanks to VickiD for providing a wonderful image to work on, and to Helen for selecting it as a Raw Image Challenge. It was a pleasure and learning experience to see all the different interpretations. Congratulation to lillias, fotofrank and tonyW for also being selected for special mention.

In no way does it deter from the beautiful images created by conventional and creative means by the winners. |

I believe that we can recognize a beautiful image, regardless of how it was created, as long as we don't blur the edges and allow AI generated images to compete against photos in competitions. I was just giving a 'shout out' to your effort.  |
