Created a monochrome using the old vintage preset from NIK SE....added a slight vignette.

Edit done in Camera Raw PSE. I added a new sky from a set of skies from On 1 Photo Raw Add Ons by Nicolesy. Duplicated the result and applied a curves adjustment on each copy and masked together for the final result. Opened in On 1 Photo Raw 2022 this time. Added Sunset 022 sky and Grainy Vignette from Spoongraphics.

Interesting way to deal with the haze, Lillias . I especially like the first one as it suggests that the morning sun is burning off the predawn haze.

Opened in PureRaw; adjustments in ACR; removed chronic aberrations (Elements+); applied Color Efex recipe Mountains Majesty. That’s a really impressive result Pete. Well done! I did wonder after looking closely whether I should have looked at Chromatic Aberration as there were some odd colours i showing up along the edges. Back to the drawing board for another look! Tony

I think I'll go with Tony's observation, PeteB . Definitely an impressive edit. It looks like I could step right into the scene. Keep them coming everyone.......

Tony Thanks Tony and Helen When I first processed the image, I noticed a “halo” on the edge of the near hillside. I thought that my processing had created the problem, but I then discovered that some of the problems were in the original image. I started processing again and this time used Elements+ “remove chromatic aberrations”. That helped but I should have done more because I still needed to touchup later. I also think my processing (with Nik filters) created some problem areas that are still present …. As usual, this was fun.

Not sure about that one, Jim. But it may just be my computer.

After trying the MT painting action on this week's EP I decided to try it for this challenge....

And for something different here's whisker wires from Topaz Studio 2 (at about 50%). BTW I did try removing chromatic aberration in LR and it does remove most of the colour fringes. Tony

I always enjoy seeing how participants in this challenge approach the creative component. I have never explored that filter but think the swirly strokes have added a nice effect. A bit of a Van Gogh look.

Thank you for this raw challenge. Here is my take. First into Adobe camera raw. Then into PS Elements 2020. I wanted to create a dramatic landscape with emphasis on the mountains and the sky. Used layers of "Fractalius" with minimal transparency to create a dramatic sky. Added clarity, levels and brightness/Contrast layer masks to selected parts of the photo. A bit of cloning. (Thanks to Foto Frank otherwise I wouldn't have spotted the speed sign!). Added a Vignette and Blake Rudis' diamond gradient action to add drama. Cropped out a little to the right and used content aware crop to add more space to the bottom. Kind regards Chris
