I like the way you emphasized the mist draping over the hills, Chris . Thanks for the reminder about the Blake Rudis gradient....I remember quite liking the way it enhanced landscapes. Your black and white has a soothing effect.

Here is a painted effect. Started off with the same adobe camera raw settings in my previous post. Content aware cropped to remove a bit on the right and add a bit on the bottom of the frame. Then used the Jixipix Impresso Filter with the "Field Flowers" preset. Kind regards Chris

A nice rendition, Chris . The painterly effect seems matched with what must have been a mesmerizing view for the photographer. I always like seeing what can be achieved with software that I don't have.

Hi, I plead guilty. I am the one who sent this challenging file. I must say that I am very impressed with the quality and the relevance of every take, and I do appreciate all the comments. Also, I appreciate that the efforts remain a fun exercise. As a consequence, it is difficult to choose three images, but it’s the name of the game to do so. Here are picks, with no order: - Peter B, Nov 14, 2023 at 4:40pm. More on the realistic side, with added dynamic, and well balanced tonalities. Very pleasant. - Chris, Nov 19, 2023 at 7:59am, black & white. Again, more on the realistic side, with added dynamic, balanced tonalities, and very pleasant. I like that the mist in the middle of the image stays apparent and makes a nice transition between the foreground and the mountains in the background. Helen also needs a mention here for seeing the black and white potential. - Fotofrank, Nov17, 2023 at 9:09pm. Not on the realistic side at all, but still very well connected to the subject. An artistic piece by itself achieved with talent, taste, vision and a gifted knowledge of the tools. Congratulation to everyone. Remarks - The initial image combines two different subjects, ruins and landscape. This particularity was well preserved by all the participants - I thought the composition of the initial image was not necessarily well balanced, so there were possibilities for cropping or straightening. The portrait, 16X9 or custom formats helped. - I never saw the speed limit sign. The story of the photo. I took the photo as a rushed Kid Kodak copping with the fast paste of the organized tour group I was part of, at the very beginning of a visit of Delphi, a significant archeological site of the Ancient Greece. Although the main site is typically Greek, ruins of buildings later modified or constructed by the Romans are also found in its surroundings. Concerning the ruins we see on the photo, I have no specific information. All I can say is that it was taken before we arrived to the main site, where we spent about 3 hours. The guide was very knowledgeable. Globally, our visit of Delphi was one of the highlights of our two weeks trip to Greece. Thank you so much. Maurice.

live.staticflickr.com/65535/53353941960_8bedb09b0b_c.jpg By solidarity, here is one take from me. In Lightroom 6. My workflow was quite eratic. I first did the general typical adjustments, mainly in the basic panel, sharpening and lens correction, including chromatic aberration. After that, with the adjustment brush, I tweaked five different areas : the sky, the mountain in the background, the mountains in middle up to the left, the ruins, on which I added a bit of texture and light, and the tall trees. I had a hard time with the sky, so finaly I almost did not change it. P.s.: even without the conflict of interest, I would not have chosen this take as one of the three picks.
