Google has announced that Nik Collection will be free from now on: plus.google.com/+NikCollection/posts/AFGsG2Di7EKThere is obviously some discussion online about whether this means they will continue to be supported as the programmes that they plug into develop.

Thanks for confirming that, Sepiana I had thought so but wasn't sure Now to download it Sorry, Julie! I was editing my previous post to add the link to their website and I got it deleted instead. Here it is. And, yes, once again, I can confirm. The Nik Collection is compatible with Elements.

Alex, thanks for this information! I have had the Nik collection for quite a few years and I highly recommend it.
I am not worried about it being incompatible with future versions of Elements or Photoshop. As a rule of thumb, plug-ins designed for older versions of Elements or Photoshop usually will work with newer versions of these programs.
EDIT: If I remember it correctly, I purchased the Nik Collection back when I was still using Elements 10. I have installed it in all the more recent versions of this program. No problem! Also, it works just fine with the latest version of Photoshop CC.

Yes, when I installed it it installed itself in PSE 10, 11, 12 and 14 (all the versions I have).

This is exciting! Looking forward to trying this out. Which of the components have you found the most exciting?
Also, are there tutorials for these?

Also, are there tutorials for these? Go to their website (link provided earlier in this thread). Go to Help Center and select Suggested Workflow. You will also find the link to their training videos on that page.

NIK is my go-to plug-in. Tom....check out dynamic contrast in the pro contrast grouping. I usually use it at half strength. Also like Skylight, Polarizer, Reflector Effects for opening up shadows in foreground. Glamour glow is nice too. Also the control points are great for adding or removing the effect to certain parts of your image. Oh, and Remove Color Cast works great on images taken indoors that have a red cast.
Silver EFex is great for B/W. People who are new to NIK are in for a real treat......Enjoy!

Anthony Morganti also has some helpful videos. I haven't watched them but know he has a good teaching style.
