Always so interesting to see what these creative folks have put together. Tammy (Chesney) had her work featured in the last issue I believe.

Wow, Helen, thanks for sharing my page in the magazine. I almost did not submit anything because I felt that the other's work was outstanding. I was very pleasantly surprised when they choose 2 of my images. Very exciting in the Tammy McChesney life lol These magazines are great...they always are so inspirational , although some of them are way beyond my talent. I am currently taking the photo artistry class by Sebastian and am learning tons...just wish I had more time to play right now, but things are getting better!

I am currently taking the photo artistry class by Sebastian and am learning tons Tammy I noted that in order to submit images for consideration that one has to be signed up for the course - is that correct? I was toying with the idea of taking the course as it looks really interesting, from your experience, would you recommend it?

Simone....I enrolled in his beginning Photoshop Artistry Course. He is an excellent teacher, gives links to lots of free extras and is helpful if you need to contact him. His courses come highly recommended it. I have a couple of friends who have enrolled in all of them. I've only touched the surface with mine but this post has made me set aside some time to watch some more of the videos. I was able to get mine through an offer with a substantial discount.
Tammy will probably be able to give you some more info.

Simone, I would highly recommend his classes. I started with the black and white artistry class and loved it. I am now enrolled in the full color class and am loving that as well. Some stuff is review, but I am learning tons otherwise....also the freebies are worth the price of the class alone!

Wow, this looks to be such a great magazine! Thanks Tom for sharing the link to it as I had never heard of it before. Congratulations Tammy on having your images selected for inclusion - they are most worthy. After looking at yours and some of the others I am tempted to sign up for the course!

Sydney, I have really enjoyed the classes and I have learned a lot (and even re learned a lot)! One of the best things is the creative inspiration the course gave me...kinda got my mojo back. Thanks for the kind words!

Great magazine. Thanks for bringing it to our attention Tom and many congratulations to Tammy for having your images included. The Photoshop Artistry Course looks very interesting. I'm not a photographer and my personal interest would really be in learning more in depth the various techniques – eg; masking, layering, brushes, using textures etc; which I could use for my digi scrapbooking.
Two questions...
Would not being a photographer matter? Also do you HAVE to create an 'Online Portfolio' or could you just ignore that part of the course?

BillieJean, from what I have seen from perusing images in the Living The Artistic Life magazine and what I have seen of your images in the digital scrapbooking area of the forum here, I think you would be right in your element with the course as you have a true artistic knack.

I have never created an online portfolio and I certainly don't think it's expected......more for people who want to go that route. Students are encouraged to collect images from other sources so I tend to agree with Sydney and think that you would find lots of inspiration and be introduced to new techniques that are of interest to you. Hopefully Tammy will be able to provide you with even more information.
