Interestingly enough, this morning v2.0.1 seems to be absolutely flying - go figure!
According to Topaz, v2.0.1 corrects the following issues from v2:
1. Missing/White Effects, no previews
2. Added a "Low Resolution" processing mode. (This is the "High Resolution" processing from Impression 1)
3. Performance improvements when switching between Edit and Effects Browser

FYI... I just installed it last evening and my version is 2.0.3 Is it working? If so, which Version Windows do you have? I have exchanged 8 e-mails over 2 days with their "Customer Happiness Specialist". He made me go through hoops, deleting and re-installing files. And Zilch! After all that he offered to take over my computer to see what is wrong, but I wasn't free at any of the available session times. So that is still to come. Rita

Rita,
I installed Impression version 2.0.3 earlier this evening. Total disaster!!! My file opens as a blank square, empty preview thumbnails, Impression stops responding, etc. It looks like the same problem they had with another plug-in -- Texture Effects. I know they created a special file to solve this problem and made it available on their website. Maybe they will have to do the same for Impression.
EDIT:
If I run the standalone version as an administrator, it works just fine. However, if I run it as a standard user, it is a no-go.
The only way to get Impression to work as a plug-in is to launch Elements as an administrator.
It is exactly the same thing that happened when they released Texture Effects. Their forum got flooded with reports about this "permission" issue.

Sepiana, thanks for telling me. I was just considering trying it. They have created 2 versions of a special file, called "Preset Utility". I installed each one for the first two versions, per instructions. They had no effect. Read this thread in their Community Forum. At the bottom of the very long page are my exchanges. discuss.topazlabs.com/t/no-presets-in-impression-2/13095/52Rita

I tried all above before I even contacted Topaz. Alas!! Rita

I had just found this special file on this page and was going to post it. I downloaded and ran it. No effect whatsoever! Nada!!!
I can't understand why this file didn't solve the problem. When I had a similar problem with Texture Effects, Topaz e-mailed me this kind of file and the problem was fixed.
Here is the worst part -- Impression was working just fine until I updated to version 2.0.3. I still have a copy of the .exe file for the previous version on my external HD drive. I am going to reinstall it. Then, I will submit a ticket to Topaz Labs.

Well, of course it didn't work for me either. But I welcome the confirmation showing it wasn't just my stupidity.
I have begun to wonder whether persistent people like us are used as free testers, guinea pigs, really.

Rita, we are not doing anything wrong. Impression is.
I will submit a ticket to Topaz Labs first thing on Tuesday. I will let you know how it goes.

Rita,
Here is more on Impression. I have just installed it on a computer running Windows 10. It is doing the same thing -- totally misbehaving. So, this shows it is really a problem with this plug-in.
