A little change in the Window menu in Elements 15.
Now each panel -- Effects (photo effects), Filters, and Styles can be brought up separately.

I'm interested in seeing how the Touch-friendly mode will work on my laptop. It appears to be limited to Quick Edit only, but I'm still interested.

Me too! I haven't tested the "touch-friendly" waters yet but it is in my list of things to do (learn?).

Another change in Elements 15. This time it has to do with the shortcut to Create Clipping Mask/Group With Previous (earlier versions of Elements) -- Ctrl-G/Cmmd-G. In Elements 15 Adobe introduced Layer Groups (brought over from Photoshop). Layer Groups are used to organize your layers when you have too many of them; it is a very common feature in template files which consist of many layers. In Photoshop the shortcut to the Group Layers command is Ctrl-G/Cmmd-G. This means that Adobe had to do some shortcut reassignment in Elements 15.
In Elements 15 . . .
- The shortcut to Create a Clipping Mask/Group With Previous is now Alt-Ctrl-G/Opt-Cmmd-G. - Ctrl-G/Cmmd-G has become the shortcut to Group Layers.

A change in Elements 15 (one which was long overdue).
In earlier versions of Elements:
If you applied a filter by going via the Effects panel, there were no provisions to adjust the effects of the filter, i.e., no dialog box. You would have to go via the Filter menu if you wanted to make some adjustments.
In Elements 15:
You now get the dialog box when you go via the Effects panel. (For some filters you need to click on the Advance Options button to get access to the additional settings).

I downloaded the trial, (still 30 days.)
So far I love the: Layer grouping. Much quicker and easier than using the actions. Adjust Facial Features in the Enhance menu. Fun and easy to use. The only problem is now I can't trust head shots anymore. It's good.
Also: Graphics/Frames are now easier to use because they show up in a layer group. In the past I found it to be a frustrating struggle to make adjustments. I can now see how it's done and pick what I want to adjust from the layer group. I haven't tested it yet, but you can save your own frame design to Graphics/Frames.
I haven't tried out all the new features yet.

Moto, thanks for posting this. I think hearing what our members think about PE 15 is very helpful.

Your feedback is appreciated. Yes, indeed, it is so much easier to have the Layer Groups feature built in Elements now; there is no more need for third-party actions. I hadn't checked the Frames category in the Graphics panel yet. That was a nice surprise. Yes, I agree. Having a multilayered file when you apply a frame from this panel allows for more editing flexibility.
