Helen, thank you for sharing this really useful article as well as the other information. I will have to try and use textures again, as I have tons of them and should really try to be more creative!

Well I don't know what's happened but that image is not showing on my Laptop all I have is the text.!!! I would suggest you report this problem on the Forum Questions and Feedback board. In this way, it will get the attention of our Adm/Mod team and it won't be buried in this thread.

Has this happened before with other entries?
I have recently posted most of my entries there because I got tired of seeing the imgg thing ruining them by changing the ratio of width to length, whenever they are more than 50KB or so.

To be honest Rita I don't know what's happening. You image still hasn't shown on my laptop and has only shown once on my Desktop and has since disappeared. This is the first time I have experienced this problem with any of your images.
EDIT: I have reported the matter as Sepiana suggested.

Thanks, BillieJean. I was wondering if I left the colors too strong, but toned down they looked too bland for me.

Here's a recent image I post-processed and applied texture to using a new photo-editing software program, Smart Photo Editor. Included the "before & after" versions.

zman - your post processing really changed that photo into something much more interesting.
rita - I don't think using a filter means toning down the color palette. Your technique really enhanced the photo and I'm glad you didn't tone down the colors.
To all the others - your work is great - I think this is one of the better techniques for enhancing photos and I'm enjoying seeing all the different looks.
