Here is a before and after image that I worked on today. The texture I used was Tableaux DayBreak from French Kiss which I purchased as part of a collection a while back, but am just now finding a use for it with this image. Click on the images for a better view.   |

I agree with Lillias, your texture picks up the colors in the rooster. Your image would also make a nice card.

Helen, I too love textures but still have a lot to learn. Thank you for the references. Lots to study. I find the hardest part is trying to pick out a texture that compliments the photo in some way. Right there it makes or breaks a photo.

Thanks for the link Helen. I have listened to a few of Gavin's photography tutorials in the past and really like him. He always does an excellent job of explaining the process he goes through for setting up a particular shot. |
