Better contribute to the new site. I did some earlier testing but seem to have forgot everything I learned. Sure do miss the preview function that was available on the old site. I gotta get better pictures to apply this technique to. Not sure I like what the cellophane does to the images especially the boys face. Hi Joe, I hope you don't mind, but I tried out the tut on your image, and it looks very different than the one you posted. I am wondering if maybe a step is missing? Maybe give it another try if you are interested, because I think your picture works well with this technique.

I did follow all the steps but messed around with the settings of the picture gallery which did not help. Because I did not like what I was seeing I knocked the opacity way down which pretty much hid the plastic wrap. Thanks for challenging me .

Thanks for playing along Joe; I know I always am disappointed and frustrated when I can't get an effect to work in a way that satisfies. There was one at the end of EV (wood cut or something like that) that I never did figure out; still bugs me! Anyway, here is my result using your image; it sure looks a lot like yours, although I didn't do anything with the opacity. Turning the plastic wrap layer off and on doesn't make much difference at all. If I put the plastic wrap layer 2nd in layer stack then it did.

Ok, this is better, as it shows the layers, bottom to top as an animation; original-dry brush-plastic wrap-final (with texture). As you can see, I doubled down on the effects, they are very strong!
