Thanks kdcintx for suggesting this theme. Here is my attempt at an artistically blurred photo. It is the city town hall which was bathed in red light for this year's Sydney Vivid Festival which is taking place now. Sydney, beautiful! Bold colors, interesting shapes. Very artistic!

Finally had some success with this technique.....zooming with camera. I focused on the heart a bit before zooming. Was so pleased to keep the heart in focus. ISO 100, F 9, 2.5 sec. I cloned in a bit of branch to cover the wire and wall in background.

Finally had some success with this technique.....zooming with camera. I focused on the heart a bit before zooming. Was so pleased to keep the heart in focus. ISO 100, F 9, 2.5 sec. Helen, you nailed this technique. I really like the focus on the heart.

Hidden Valley Creek in Rocky Mountain National Park. Water softened by using ND-8 neutral density filter to slow the shutter speed down to 1/2 second.
