Wonderful composition, Clive. After reading your initial post in this thread I was determined to see September through your eyes......sadly all we've seen is HOT HOT HOT or RAIN RAIN RAIN! Still hopeful, though!

whippet , great thinking out of the box -- Christmas TV ads in September. Really nice job capturing the setting up of the carnival with its colorful rides despite the rain.

September here is Fall Fair time and they were setting it up this morning as I passed by so had to stop for a photo of a deserted carousel! The painted ponies start going up and down tonight! And September is also scarecrow festival time - here's a part of the collection that is appearing around town Tony Tony, these are beautiful shots -- colorful, sharp, great DOF. The details are amazing! Great job!

Ahh, nice question indeed. For me, September is about beautiful sunsets. Panos, absolutely beautiful! Great composition and tones. What a sunset!
I don't remember you participating in the WP challenge before. So, . . . welcome aboard! Looking forward to your continuing participation.

September is the time we always go away on holiday. This year we are exploring the Avenue of the Giants in California. Unfortunately, our travels are restricted by yet another wildfire just north of Redding. We are full of admiration for the brave firefighters who are tackling yet another conflagration in this beautiful area. Dennis Dennis, great job capturing those magnificent Giants! I really like how you included the human element in your composition; it puts those Giants in perspective.
Have a wonderful vacation! Stay safe!

Similar to Tony and Margaret's towns September is the month of our Firemen's Fair. It usually ends with a firework display, which I had planned on adding for this week's challenge. However, September is also the beginning of hurricane season. As a result our fair came to an early end. Taken just a few minutes ago, the ocean is churning due to post hurricane and tropical storm activity.

September is a very good month. In a good autumn we can have decent weather far into October and even November. But when September is good, it is the best. Today was sunny and 23°C with no wind..had a nice walk this afternoon...camera in hand. I have fond memories of the end of September in my working days, visiting a drilling rig in a blizzard somewhere near Coaldale! And I recall it being well below zero! Wayne

in my working days, visiting a drilling rig in a blizzard somewhere near Coaldale! Yup, it happens. Snow forecast this week about 300 km north of us.
