September is when the Monarch Butterflies migrate south through this area. They've been seen around town for the last week. There were several sipping nectar among the asters in the garden this morning, so I had a go at them. Rick, glad you had a go at them. Beautiful and colorful images! The butterfly details are impressive.

pontiac1940 , two beautiful shots! Great composition -- simple yet a classic. I really like the first shot, the one with the branching coming from the corner of the frame (in a diagonal orientation).
