Support for the Sony A58 was introduced with Camera Raw 7.4 in PSE 11. Camera Raw 7.4 is not compatible with either PSE 7 or PSE 9.
If you don't want to upgrade to PSE 11 or to a more recent version, you can convert your camera's Raw files to the non-proprietary DNG format using Adobe's free DNG Converter. Once your Raw files have been converted to DNG, they should open in the Raw Converter in either PSE 7 or PSE 9.
Adobe DNG Converter 11.0 (Windows) Adobe DNG Converter 11.0 (Mac)

Navigate this path . . .
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe DNG Converter
Then, right-click on the .exe file and select Send to>Desktop (create shortcut).

I don't really know what happened. Did you "run" or "save" the installer?

I have download that link,of which i have DNG installer 1-1-0 I double click to install it. I then see all the different camera models being extracted.
Ive just done it again but there is no folder in the Adobe.
I thought i saw something like C/Adboe/ProgrameData as opposed to Programme files ??

Let me see if I understood it correctly.
- You downloaded the DNG Converter .exe file. supportdownloads.adobe.com/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=6450&fileID=6470 - Then, you located the file on your computer and double-clicked on it to install it.
I did the same thing you did except that I right-clicked on the .exe file and selected "Run as administrator". The installation was successful.

Strange because i had to just video it to see where its installed. See below image. All i can find is lots of folders where the name of the folder is a camera model etc. Can you advise the path to where yours was installed as i dont even see anything when i search for DNG Converter
