Hi hmca, Although On1 treats skies as a texture, technically you are correct about the composite, Bailey. I would hate to exclude sky replacements from this challenge. I will have to think about adjusting the directions for the next challenge. ... I thought I would have one last go at this challenge replacing the sky as I described earlier in this thread, but I used a mask instead. Blue channel used to create mask below. Enlarged mask from layer stack above.

Image Submitter's Choice First my apologies for calling time on this challenge early as we will be in the Victorian High Country this weekend (limited, if any, Internet access) and I have a project for 500px I want to finish and upload before we go. My sincere thanks to hmca for firstly accepting my image of the bridge to use for this challenge and secondly for coordinating, setting up and running this challenge. I took this photo whilst being driven around Wuxi, China in 2016 with my wife. With the lanterns and arches in the bridge I thought it had a lot of potential and flexibility for creativity. Thank you very much also to all who took the time to submit an image of their creation/imagination/interpretation. All the submissions are wonderful and narrowing down to just 3 top favourites is no easy task. I am sure if this was a "Member's Choice" thread there would be a wide range of top picks. But alas, if you are reading this post, you are stuck with mine So here goes.................... 3rd Favourite: Submitted by pontiac1940 (aka Clive) What struck me about Clive's image is the "pencil sketch" effect, especially on the bridge structure. This might not have been Clive's intention but I love pencil sketches. 2nd Favourite: Submitted by hmca (aka Helen) The textured sky really works for me and is the first thing that hit me. The sky blends in so well with the slightly darker tones of the bridge structure in a very well tone balanced image. Cue drum roll............................................ My Favourite Image: Submitted by BillieJean (aka Lillias) Well what can I say........for me, this image definitely has the WOW factor. The selection of colours, texturizing and blending are brilliant. I especially like the use of blue to highlight/accentuate the arches under the bridge. They give me a focal point. This image is so easy on my eyes and pleasant to look at. Thank you once again to hmca (Helen) and to everyone who took part. This was a fun challenge for me.
I sincerely hope more members will submit images in the future so that this type of challenge may continue.

There were some great entries in this comp. I would have had a very hard time narrowing down my personal choices. Congratulations BillieJean on your most excellent submission! Well done to Helen and Clive too for such top edits
