Will admit to being confused. There are a half dozen or so Individual User Galleries at present but they all seem to work differently: some people's pictures you can click on and get redirected to another website, whilst some people's images seem to be embedded and you can't click on them, and others have the ability to be clicked on but you just see a different thumbnail, not a larger picture.
How is everyone creating their galleries?

Hey Bayla. I finally got my images to load from CubeUpload properly. I put what I did under the thread (...Can't put images into my gallery) in questions and feedback. Not sure what everyone else did......

I am more confused by uploading images than any of you guys are! 1. I uploaded an image from EV but it was huge! so I deleted it and created a Cubeupload Acct, and 2. I then uploaded an image from Cubeupload, it too was huge! AND the comments from my previous EV image were still there??? 3. I can't find out how to lessen the size of these images, In FAQ's there is no where to ask a question they are all LOCKED 4. Can I upload more than one image into my Gallery and is there a way of keeping the comments Germaine to that image only? 5. When will the Doctors arrive with my medications - PLEASE? Ron

Hi Ron,
- We'll have to work on the Cube Upload instructions. There is a way within CubeUpload to select the size of the thumbnail that displays - This the right board to post questions on the forum. The FAQ's are locked on purpose so they don't get out of hand with all the comments. - Yes, you can upload more than one photo to the Gallery. I've not paid much attention to how the comments function works with those.

I tried to open and upload a photo but I don't think it took. Don't know when I'll go thru that again. Everything else about this site is great. Maybe not great but well above mediocre. grin

The button there that says Upload via postimage.org makes it pretty painless want to do this. I would also recommend looking in the FAQ board; there is a short doc there that I hope will help out.

Tom, Maybe painless to you but not me. I posted to the iow without a problem. However I tried to start my own gallery via postimage and pixentral and get message must start with http and end with jpeg. when I do that it sometimes works and sometimes not. when it does it is a thumb nail that will not enlarge and has a blackbox on the left with x in it and also some left over script from the upload. Need some good language as to how to do this as it is not that straight forward. Dean

You are not alone in that; it seems to be the biggest issue we are struggling with. I have to confess I haven't tried yet to really understand and master to various image posting choices, so I am hoping someone more knowledgeable will step in here. Because of the several methods of posting a image, it would be quite helpful if you would detail what you did; then I could attempt to replicate your steps and see what the behavior is that you are seeing. Thanks for whatever patience you can muster while we get this all worked out! As you say, getting the instructions written so they are bullet-proof is the holy grail.

Tom, This is what I did. click on upload via postimage.org>navigated to photo>clicked the upload>when it finished the upload info was in comments box>copied the info and pasted in the url box>got a message it must start with http and finish with jpg>so deleted prior to the http and info after jpg. and repasted to the url box> it put it in my gallery and it looks like what you see in my gallery. It's a mess!!! Dean

Ken -
Dean is talking about posting to an individual user gallery, not in a message in a forum board.

It's a mess!!! Dean Thank you very much Dean; using your information my experience was identical to yours; yuck! I experimented with it for a while, and finally found a solution (though not a pretty one). So here goes: In your gallery, click the Add Image button Click the Upload via postimage.org button Browse to the image on your computer and click OpenChoose the resize you like (I used 800x600), then click Upload it!At this point you have a string inserted in the comment field similar to this one: Leave it there, but copy & paste this part of that string into the image URL field: http://s14.postimg.org/tkw0jbvvx/Grung_Flower.jpg You must delete the s14. (N.B. it isn't always s14, I saw s27, s16, s2, etc). This was a very valuable exercise, as we learned how another piece of the system behaves. Hopefully we will find a way to accomplish this task without such machinations.

Yes, there appears to be a conflict between a couple of plugins the forum uses.
Tom -
I don't think removing the s14 is necessary. I can access "http://s14.postimg.org/tkw0jbvvx/Grung_Flower.jpg" without a problem.
