Tried another one, Lillias. This time I tried to stay true to the action. The only addition was a border at the end from NIK Color Efex.

Really love how this turned out Helen. A lovely soft effect and beautiful result.
I can keep myself amused for ages playing with this Action and I don't even have the full PS. I hope you enjoy it too.

Thanks, Lillias. I imagine it will be a great distraction for me in the days ahead. I am still experimenting with different sections of the action. It is quite amazing to watch it run and see all the steps involved!

Another watercolor before heading out of town for a few days. Border added in ON1 Photo Raw 2018. All of these watercolors are wonderful. Thanks Billie Jean for sharing this watercolor action.

Beautiful work Helen. Two such different images but each lends themselves to this Action so well.

I keep getting a message "select is unavailable" or "no pixels were chosen'. I have Elements 2019 so I thought the action would work seamlessly? Also, the action takes forever to complete. Am I the only one having this problem? This action is SO COOL and I want it to work........

Pat, the problem is that this action is written for Photoshop and it has commands Elements cannot "understand". Please, refer to this post.

Srmoment have you looked at the 3 videos that are at the bottom of the download page for this Action?
There are things to bear in mind when using this Action.
First it was designed to be used with PS not PSE but having said that it can be used in PSE but in a limited way. I am using it with PSE 15 and I know of others with PSE 18 who have used it with success.
Important things to bear in mind when using it.
The size of the image and this is very important – it is recommended that it should be in the range of 3000/5000 pixels but not over 5000pixels. You MUST have the brushes and pattern files that come with the Action loaded.
The Action comes in 2 parts. The first part is named ‘Setup’.
Run ‘Setup’ and then using a soft brush at 100% opacity, brush over the part of your image that you want to focus on. (In the video they use an orange colour for this part)
Then set the 2nd part of the Action running.
You will probably get some pop up messages just click continue or ok and let the Action continue to the end.
It seems to depend on the image how many of those pop ups you might get.
Once complete you can open up the various Groups in the Action and tweak things to your liking.
I hope this helps...

Don't give up on this, Pat. Lillias gives you some good pointers above.....very helpful to watch the video. And yes it does take awhile to run, but I find it fascinating to see all the steps involved.
Hope you'll post your results.

Thanks. I have been hitting continue when the message pops up, and following the steps BillieJean outlined; however, I think that size may be the issue......after 45 minutes, the action still had not completed itself. I'll reduce the size of my image and try again.
