Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. - Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.

Today was our annual "Photos with Santa" event where the camera club takes pictures of local kids with Santa. With two cameras tethered to laptops running Lightroom and a couple of printers we are able to turn out finished 4x6 prints in less than a minute so can get through a lot of kids. The background is set up and decorated by the local community theatre. At the end of the event I had to take one last picture of Santa before we took down the scenery. He does look rather exhausted! And I had to stop by a local house that is always well decorated to see what they'd added for this season.. Tony

About 300 meters west of our house is the Kin Shelter, built by the Kinsmen and Kinettes and managed by the Town of Coaldale. They put lights up in the trees and decorated the facility and are hosting socials two nights a week until Christmas. I never went into the shelter, but think they serve some sort of grog. Folks were milling about a firepit and cooking marshmallows. A "hayride" wagon brought some folks. Since the horses were decorated with LED lights a photo had to be taken. I quite like this photo. I removed the glare of a streetlight above the wagon. The bright light over the horse head was on the wagon.

This was a pine tree I decided to decorate, when we had our condo in FL, until someone on the board took a dislike to it, and had it removed. i.ibb.co/ZmGSrX0/DSC-8515.jpg

Here's a decoration in the window at the dry cleaner this morning. Thanks for the theme Sepiana!! Bill, you seem to have a knack for shooting your subject from an unusual angle and thus making your shot a very original one. I love what you did here!

fotofrank , great job capturing such different decorations. My favorite is the first shot -- warm colors, great DOF, and . . . a subject that makes me smile.

Still Thanksgiving here...... Helen, and it still fits the Decorations theme. Nicely composed shot capturing the several decorative items.

kdcintx , great finding! I love the warm colors against the black background. The kind of image that invites one to go back to it again and again.
