Textures are lovely as backgrounds - like you have shown us in the first example. A simple texture adds so much to the project - whether as background or adding texture to a photo. Thanks for the idea.

Thanks Sydney and Janice.....it was Judy who got me started on using Christmas props. My husband thought I was working on a Christmas card for next year.
He should know me better than that....LOL!

Created this for a FB Challenge. Started with this image from unsplash by ginghill. The castle and moon were my images. Used On1 and NIK CE4 for processing and added the birds with a bird brush.   |

Here you go - I will add another one! Yours was my inspiration! All the items are my photos. 1 - tree on hillside, 2- barn, 3 - sheep and 4 - hay bales. Textures were from both Daily Textures and 2 Lil owls and a bird brush. i.ibb.co/7v0TFVP/DSC-3658-Edit.jpg |

With Judy's permission, I have merged many of her older textured images into this thread. It would be nice to have all of our textured work in one thread. Please consider adding any that you may have created.
