We have received some reports of members getting different forms of adware or malware when accessing our forum. We take these concerns seriously and wanted to update everyone on it.
1) As posted here, we are aware of potential issues related to the use of imgbb for hosting images.
2) We don't believe there is an adware or malware directly on our forum. As we are hosted by Proboards and have limited control over what we can do, it is highly unlikely that something has happened specifically to our forum.
3) Occasionally, something will happen on the Proboards level, and when those concerns are raised to the Proboards admins they have been quick to respond.
4) We suspect the problem comes from the advertisements that are served by Proboards to pay for the forum (the ads are served from 3rd party services, not Proboards directly). While using an ad-blocker has solved this problem for many, it does hurt the revenue stream for Proboards. Proboards has served this forum well and they deserve to be compensated for that. To that end, the forum has gone ad-free, at least for awhile.
