That would be quite an ambitious hike, Clive! Looks like beautiful scenery.
OOPS....you were posting your newest image while I was typing. Nice curving path under that massive cloud formation!

Thanks Helen! Not sure about repeating that hike. My guy-type ego tells me I should .. bragging rights, eh? But it's quite a hike! This is the lane to the Cowley Cemetery. July 19, 2020. Bit of a t-storm passing in the distance.

Well it's not like you never did it, Clive. You might have other less challenging things to do that would also be worth bragging about.
Using a wide angle lens certainly works well on your open landscapes. Living in a more densely populated area I enjoy seeing "everyday" views that are so vastly different than mine.

Thanks Helen. I am envious of Montana (just below us) as their state slogan is "Big Sky Country." I left the city 52 years ago and lived in small towns on the great plains ever since. And we spend a lot of time in the outdoors. I love the open spaces. Thanks for your kind words.

Lovely entries so far. The Long Walk in Windsor is a 2.5 mile path up to the castle... Long Walk Windsor - mono by AlexR!, on Flickr Processed in Luminar to start then exported to convert in Silver Efex. Annoyingly I can't get Silver Efex to work as a plug in to Luminar yet, as I did within Lightroom.

While this is certainly a treat for this challenge, that path would deter me from visiting the castle. Really nice depth of field that emphasizes the looooong walk. Perhaps someone might offer some help about accessing SE through Luminar.

Nice submission, Bob. I like how the walkway curves toward the building and our eye continues across the bridge. I like the way you composed your shot.

Especially like the center island post, Clive. BUT what I find most interesting is the lack of cars on the road. You would be hard pressed to find roads that empty around here......even in the wee hours of the morning.

Helen That was taken at 7:36 AM. It's a small town and no shops were open. The coffee "hut" did not open until 8 AM, but she gave me a cup of coffee while it was brewing. So there was no real reason for there to be any or much traffic. I went back at about 8:15 and there were a couple of cars and two people at the coffee hut and at the grocery store. Mainstreet is lovely. Neat little redneck town. Clive
