Bill: Great idea using multiple exposures for this theme - it's one technique I keep forgetting to try. That last one is particularly spectacular.

We're now well into Halloween season here which means lots of pumpkins and gourds of different colours. Stopped by the local farm shop today for supplies and grabbed a couple of photos of their remaining selection. Couldn't decide which one to use so combined them both in a diptych.  Tony |

Dull, dreary and rainy here today so a good day to play inside. I used some leaves that I collected last week and placed them on a black background.    |

This is probably not what you had in mind Sepiana .  Hardly seasonal even for us, as we've had record-smashing cold here. (Mean temp yesterday was 21C° below average ... that's close to 40F° below average!! The high yesterday was -8°C vs an average of +11°C.) ) And a fair amount of snow as well, although a Chinook is on deck and will take the snow away in a day or two. Anyway, this is somewhat seasonal in that there are blue skies and golden corn stalks ... which could also be wheat or barley stubble. White, gold and blue. Just north of town, Monday October 26.  |

Another seasonal one - a burning bush (eunonymus alatus) which turns bright red at the end of it's season and it's on the edge of a field that was recently planted with winter wheat so is green at the beginning of its season. Confession - although there wasn't much wrong with the original sky (it was an almost cloudless day) I wanted to try out the new sky replacement in PS to see how it would handle the twigs at the top of the bush - two clicks and this was the result - I was impressed so I'm leaving it with the new sky. Here in Eastern Colorado, fall colors are long gone. This is our color in this season - next year's bread. Newly sprouted winter wheat and clear blue sky is what there is for color.  |

After record cold last weekend, it's been very nice here with mainly sunny skies and warm. The cattails are done for the year and are a nice backdrop for waterfowl. Canada geese on "my" ponds. Oct 31, 2020.  |

I think we're going to have a very mellow season of colors this year as we seem to be shifting from green to brown with only muted colors. For a bit of added seasonal feeling I went to the cemetery and tried to get some shots using multiple exposures to represent the theme. Bill, simply beautiful. It looks so surreal. I especially like the 4th image -- the leaves seem to be blowing in the wind. |

These two images are perfect for a diptych. The image on the left is my favorite; the different colors caught my attention. |
