Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. - Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.
NOTE
The idea behind this week’s theme is that your photo(s) should be taken with the camera positioned on the ground or just a few inches off the ground. So, grab your camera and . . . keep it at ground level! |

Oh good, Tony. I was hoping that "floor level" would work for ground level. I had actually thought of taking my husband's feet. But then I decided to put my wreath on the floor. A large herd (~100) of Pronghorn Antelope ( Antilocapra americana) has moved into farmland just 10 km east of town. They are common around some parts southern Alberta, but I've never seen any this close to home. They probably drifted this way because of the storms last week. They have a long and interesting evolutionary history and it is a treat to see them at any time. Ill keep my eye on them. It is hard to get close as they are always on alert.
Fun facts: Although its scientific name means “American antelope goat,” the pronghorn is not an antelope. In fact, its closest living relatives are the giraffe and the okapi.My camera was not on the ground, but this pair of antelope was ~250 m away and so the relative angle was very low. We grow a few cactus and agaves in pots outdoors in summer ... they are only potted plants we have outside because watering is sketchy when we are away in summer. But every fall I bring them indoors and they are lighted with LED grow lights ( srmoment  ) for 12 hours each day. (Note: This challenge was harder today than 10 years ago. It seems that gravity has increased in the past decade as it's much harder to get up now.  )  |

I love the theme, but I'm unsure of my ability to do what I'd like to do for it. I'll find a way somehow. Here is one that is sort of what I want to do. I took this last April lying on my stomach, so I was still able to get up then. (not for the weekly challenge, just a photo that I've liked since I took it)  |
