“We are all fortunate to such a variety from which to select”
I didn’t know what I was missing until I got my first iPad. Now I can’t live without it. I know people who use their phone like I use my iPad, but I don’t understand choosing to use a smaller screen when a nice large portable screen is available. But, then again, for me it’s all about lousy eyesight.
But for outside the house, I can’t believe I have a camera, internet, gps, and, of course, phone all in my purse. The evolution from my first desktop in 1982, still amazes me. Word processing - for a secretary- what a godsend - even in its basic form back then. 😁

maybe I only need a 15" screen but the enhanced CPU and RAM RAM is important and I do not have enough at 16 GB. The raw files off my camera are 48 MB. Sometimes I open 10 or more photos in ACR. Processing speed is okay but could be better. Some processing in PSE takes a couple of seconds. There are ways to boost Elements performance. See the suggestions in . . . When Elements Goes into a Sluggish Mode.

Athegn, I had a quick look at the specs of the Dell G7 17. It's a performance laptop that ticks all the right boxes. The only negative point is the small ssd of 256 Gbt. So, unless you are planning to use an external drive to store photos I would go for a 1Tbt ssd that will last longer. One option would be to ask the store if they can do that for you. But you can always upgrade later if you don't mind the extra cost.
Kind regards Chris
