Simple task - Fun Results
Type some text - use a bold/fat font for best results Open a background paper or make one of your own using brushes and contrasting colors - small print design on paper works best Visually place background paper over text - Paper must be over text for the background paper to appear within the text (Example above does not show paper over text - you would move the paper over the black text before clipping) While on Paper Layer in Layers Panel -- Clip paper to text - Layer> Create Clipping MaskGo to paper layer -- Move and resize paper to get the look you wantAdd Bevel on text layer - Layer> Layer Style> Style Setting> Bevel/Up/25 pixels
You can also use this technique to clip background paper to any shape.
I am using PSE 2020 on a Mac with Catalina I have not included keystroke shortcuts because your version of PSE and/or OS may differ

Lillias -I love how your text really dresses up the page. This has always been a favorite design technique of mine. I notice I broke away from doing it but now I’m planning on using it more

Agree with Helen - the colors you’ve chosen are so perfect for your pretty design. The text design is perfect

photoshopelementsandmore.com/thread/7409/challenge-41-wood-textureThis idea started from the thread at the above link. I used one of the textures provided in the link Although not 'festive' - this tutorial was a good use of the textures provided in the link in the first post in the above thread. Here are the settings for the bevel/outline

The name needs to be clicked to really appreciate the texture of the wood and the style settings. I like this a lot, Janice.
