live.staticflickr.com/65535/51013888726_746c8ac649_c.jpg Thanks Tony, This was fun. I went a little strong at the beginning with the effects, so I had to lower the opacity of on top of the original. I used Soft Light blending mode instead of Overlay. I might retry with another image with less details in it. Nicely done - I could see that hanging on a wall either as a photo or a painting! Tony

Image from Serif Images...Followed the tut again with a few settings tweaks and added a watercolour filter layer. I like that effect with a portrait - going to have to try adding a watercolor filter to the stack - I also just found that before committing the stack of gallery filters you can move them about to change the order and that changes the result. So many options! Tony

Really like the one above, Sepiana. May try to use it for an arrangement for the B/W Challenge.

One thing I hadn't realised until now is that the filters used and their settings are saved so if you had it set up the filter gallery for one image you can apply the same filters and settings to another image by just running the filter gallery again. That seems to be true even if you close the program - it will start up next time with the same filters with the same settings. So here's another one - a Red-Bellied Woodpecker from files (that has a redder head than a belly!). I did add a watercolor frame from Filter Forge and the wood frame default action in PS Tony
