I think your bird has a beautiful textured look, Tony. I thought I'd try another one using a simpler image. I adjusted the sliders quite a bit and in the end I think it looks like a fabric. It is interesting to see the different results that have been achieved from the basic filters that you introduced. I also liked the way it looked when I desaturated it at the end of the process.

For this one I used the Glass Filter but changed the texture to Tiny Lens followed by Paint Daubs, Angled Strokes, Watercolour and finally the Dry Brush Filter. Image from Pixabay...

One thing I hadn't realised until now is that the filters used and their settings are saved so if you had it set up the filter gallery for one image you can apply the same filters and settings to another image by just running the filter gallery again. That seems to be true even if you close the program - it will start up next time with the same filters with the same settings. Tony Just to add if you want to clear all the filters in the gallery and set them all to their default setting open the filter gallery and then hold down Ctrl (or Cmd) which changes Cancel to Default - click that and it resets everything. That should be the same in all versions of PSE and PS.

That one is spectacular - I particularly like the choice of green for the frame an background to harmonize with the foliage. Tony

Credit shared with Filter Forge. Matching Frame is a very "smart" filter; it's one of my favorites.

That is lovely, sepiana. I could not find - set the blend mode to Overlay. So here is my effort without it. edit - I have reduced the size twice, but it still comes on this big.

Many thanks Sepiana. No wonder I couldn't find it. I am going to screen shot that. Now another mystery. As I said in my last post, I had reduced the size of the image. I have just clicked on it, and instead of increasing, it has become smaller - just like the size I had saved it at. I am going to have to add - & PSE - on to the bottom of this.
