I almost split my sides laughing, at BuckSkin's remark. Beautiful picture, Jacki. So good to see it flying free. Birds should not be kept in cages - as they are over here.

We are not going to go anywhere for awhile!! The driveway is kinda full. They are installing optical cable for telephone and internet in our area of town. What they can do with these machines is really amazing.

They are installing optical cable for telephone and internet in our area of town. I hope your experience with it is much better than ours has been.
The local phone/internet/cable-TV company/monopoly replaced everything with some stupid fibre-optics mess a few years ago; nothing has worked as good since.
Before fibre-optics, a telephone call was crisp and clear; now, from the first word, it is all grainy and scratchy and the longer we talk the worse it gets until our voices will begin echoing and a conversation is no longer possible; this started the moment they made the changeover.
We had their internet for a while and it got so bad that we switched over to satellite; the difference is like walking and then riding a racehorse.

cjt. This side of the pond, too. I did put a photo on when they were working near my house. They call it fibre optics over here.

The only time I am a shopaholic. Unfortunately, after the Bank Holiday, stocks are very low.

I have always wondered, what is a "Bank Holiday" ?

We have always had them, so I don't suppose many have wondered about the origin, BuckSkin. After reading your message, I thought it may have had something to do with banks. Seems I was correct. (for a change). . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Why is it called a bank holiday? The days became known as bank holidays because when Sir John drafted the legislation it was called the Bank Holiday Bill as it progressed through parliament. Initially, it was just banks and financial buildings that would close, which is where the name comes from.

A friend wanted ideas for displaying succulents. So, I took my camera round to another friend, and got nine pictures.
