Two from this morning as the sun was rising above the cloud cover...... I think the second one may be a more pleasing composition but I sort of like the drama of the first one. Thoughts? I like the landscape, cropped and darken the highlights  |

It must be the time of year for interesting skies. In contrast to my post of a troublesome sky a couple of days ago...  Thanks for sharing Howard. A very inspiring sky and foreground well captured and processed. So realistic and makes me feel I was there! Kind regards Chris |

Today was the Second Annual Pavan Park Irregulars Gathering. A dozen photographers and spouses wandered about for a couple of hours in the glorious warmth and then had snacks after. Was a fine way to end the year. I only took seven bird photos (!!!) as it was quiet although we were not and that likely explained the lack of birds. Will is young and often dresses lightly. But a tee-shirt!? It was sunny and 12°C today but I still wore a hoodie and light jacket. Not Will.   |

Sounds like a perfect way to spend the day, Clive. As to your young friend.....I can't imagine ever being able to hand hold a camera with a lens that size!

Sounds like a perfect way to spend the day, Clive. As to your young friend.....I can't imagine ever being able to hand hold a camera with a lens that size! The big lenses are generally okay to schlep around. I used to get sore arms just walking with it cradled. Now it is carried in a Cotton (brand name) harness. Helps a lot. However, I have to rest often when holding and shooting like Will. The worst is trying to shoot almost straight up. Hard on neck and arms and I've almost lost balance a few times. I need a caddie. 🤣🤣 |

Have seen this water tower from a distance where I go to get my hair cut. Finally decided to see if I could find it. May be worth going back with my camera. Will probably try a few different edits.  |

Took a quick stop at Sandy Hook today to try to get a picture of this beached sailboat. Not exactly the picture I had in mind but it sort of tells the story of how it has attracted a lot of attention on the Sandy Hook FB page. Hope to go back and get a shot minus the people.  |
